The improvements will help achieve long-term water quality, security, and other operational goals for a regional water system serving over 2 million people. WRE engineers worked on a wide range of tasks, including:
- Assessment of existing facilities, site and regulatory constraints, reservoir operations, and future operating requirements.
- Screening of potential structural and non-structural improvements to meet pre-established goals.
- Preparation of feasibility-level designs, permitting requirements, cost opinions and implementation plan for the preferred improvements.
- Facilitation of workshops with client’s engineering personnel to brainstorm alternatives and discuss recommendations.
